The campsite was average. There isnt any grass or anything; only dirt. There is a constant smell of poo; I assume from the birds in the water. We also had constant problems with bees. We stayed in campsite Old Man Lake. It was good, but rough. Longdrop toilets only.
Ripping spot for family fun
Perfect for camping.
We we're so keen to camp in this little spot and I'm sure it's picturesque. It was the first spot to come up when we googled 'Free camping Robe'. We followed google maps and headed on down the dirt track in the pitch black dark. This is definitely not a route for you everyday car. A four wheel drive is a must, it would be helpful if this was a bit more clearly outlined on the Google profile. The track is pretty rough, it's a long way from the main road and in the dark it was all a bit too 'Wolf Creek' for my liking. Scared we were going to get stuck, we turned around and headed back before we got to the camp site.
Easy MTB access from The Gums Track campsite. Sand tracks behind sand dunes and to the beach.
